What About Combination Remedies?

You've probably seen homeopathic products in your chemist or health shop saying they are specifically for problems such as Travel Sickness, Teething, Indigestion, Hayfever and so on. They are a mixture of several homeopathic remedies in low potencies which are known to be helpful in certain conditions, because they are the ones most commonly prescribed in individual cases.

Homeopathic remedies all have an affinity for certain areas of the body - muscles, tissues, mucous membranes, a particular organ or whatever it may be, and have an effect on those specific parts. So, for example, the remedies in the Hayfever mix would affect the eyes, the mucous membranes of the nose, the soft palate and/or the fluid balance in the body.

They are very popular because it's so easy to self-select according to your condition and people often benefit from them. They are a great introduction to the effectiveness and safety of homeopathic medicines and often provide quick relief for everyday acute problems. However, if you require homeopathic treatment for a chronic or serious acute condition, it's best to see a qualified homeopath.
